Gnarled trees--sycamores?
San Francisco: grounds of SF general, 1001 Potrero

This one is in bloom a bit earlier, perhaps it was not pruned so aggresively. I see these all over the place and I really want to know what they are. They look like the (unpruned) sycamores in San Jose, but should I trust myself?
