Our porch in San Jose

San Jose

July 08, 2004

Our porch with seedlings in their cages, the fuchsia above, and the bouganvillia. Imagine the difficulty of trying to do any serious propagation on this porch! Very pleasant for eating lunch, though--there is a pool just beyond the walkway and you can hear kids splashing while munching on a crusty baguette smeared with apricot stilton...but I digress. We've since moved to San Francisco, given up some sunshine in exchange for a basement and backyard. Perfect for filling with cuttings.

Note the two apple seedlings, towering above all else. Took these seeds from apples and let my son germinate them.
