PLANTS National Database

The best part of this database is its inclusion of germination info for many species not often grown be other, less tree-obsessed gardeners.  Also wonderful for photos, links to the scientific literature, and links to other web sites.  Indispensable.

Love gardening on Long Island,NY. Soil makes growing so fun. 30 lb. Pumpkins, Tomatos so big and abundant that everyone has some in home all year. U name it I've grown it....on less than 1/4 acre.

This is a great site. I am looking for information on gardening in a dryer climate. So much of what I find is for areas that have plenty of H20. Unfortunately, that is not my situation but I HATE the look of xeric landscaping with all its rock and cactus.

I like to propagate native shrubs and trees
from seeds and/or cuttings. I find the greatest difficulty is finding a home for the extras when I succeed beyond my expectations.
